Ninfa Aronica: This Site Might Help You.RE:Careers involving dance?I do wish to pursue a career in dance as my major career and not a second job but I fear that the pay is low and I may not be able to support myself with such a career. Could anyone inform me on the types of careers involving dance and an estimation as to how much money is earned doing said......Show more

Marty Tichnell: For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/awDmuI have recently graduated from a university dance program. My initial goal was to dance professionally, but I later realized that this was not my true passion. Now I am working as a personal trainer who helps dancers. This was the result of my second passion- Fitness and health. If you can find a way to shape your passion into a career where you will also be helping others and constantly learning, I think this is most wise. What else are you passionate about? Are you most interested in performance, education, the phys! ical aspect, the science and physiology, the artistry, choreography? Figure out what it is you LOVE about dancing. If you love to watch dance performance, perhaps you'd like to get involved with an established company, or perhaps help found your own dance company. If it's the science you are interested in, there are some universities that actually have dance science degrees. Do some research, and most importantly, figure out WHY you love dance, and the rest will fall into place. Stay passionate, don't lose faith in yourself, and I promise the solution will come to you. Best of luck! Monika...Show more

Frank Gazaway: Sami Sue mentioned dance therapy, which is a very good option.Just being a dance teacher won't support you enough, but if you feel like taking a risk you can try opening a studio. This is a little bit unrelated, but you could be a photographer. There are some very successful ballet photographers, or you could shoot for dance ! magazines or costume catalogs. You could also be a writer for ! a dance magazine.Sorry if these seem rather unrelated, I had the same question myself. I am not sure of the money either, but hopefully they would provide a little more reliable income than performing....Show more

Inge Mclaurine: 1. Join in a famous competition as a single performer in sytycd or something like survivor, big brother just to make you famous2. Show your skills in the showTherefore you should become celebrity dancer by then

Frederic Engellant: I was actually thinking about pursing a career in dance too but had the same worries. I've asked this question on yahoo answers before and hardly got satisfactory answers. I've looked up some ideas for dance careers and of course, I got the basic choreographer, performer, etc but I wanted something more outside the box, not so black and white. There are careers in dance ther! apy, and jobs working in studios which interested me but that's all I could find. I'm really just as interested as you so hopefully with a little more research, I'll find something. Good luck and I hope you find something!! :)...Show more
